Our stop at Cerro Gordo was phenomenal!
We dropped the trailer at the bottom of the road as we heard it was a bit of a rough drive. Good thing we did because we barely made it to the top in the two-wheel drive van!
Ultimately, we made it all the way up to the ghost town just fine. We spent a few hours getting a private tour from the caretaker, Robert.
The rich history of the mine and the area is truly unique! Cerro Gordo is one of the most amazing places I have been! The views across the valley are stunning and the mountains nearby are impressive. Add to that the rich history of the mine and it makes for an unforgettable and one of a kind destination!
